2010 Company Outing
Our employees and their families were treated to an all-you-can-eat BBQ and a Manchester Fisher Cats baseball game from the rooftop party deck suite this summer.
Moe Duval, with 36 years of service, had the distinct honor of throwing out the first pitch as our employee with the longest service. Thank you to all of our employees for making it such a fun event!

For a company that takes pride in being an American manufacturer, what better outing than the great American past-time...baseball! |
Lean Training
In October, we kicked off some basic training in Lean Manufacturing for almost 20 of our employees though the NH MEP (Manufacturing Extension Partnership) program.
Tony Riccio, our most senior grinding employee, wasted no time implementing a new color coded system in the grinding department (see photo below). Who knew a 140 year old process could still be improved?
A more focused crew met and did 3 days of value stream mapping on a customer specific process improving our machine changer-overs from 59 minutes to 24 minutes. An additional kaizen in the area resulted in even more improvements. Way to make it happen!!!!

Attending the world's largest machine tool show is a great opportunity - for training, researching new technology, and meeting our partners in machining. We were able to meet and present our team partners with official WH Bagshaw Cycling Team Jerseys. Our jersey was seen hanging in the the Citizen booth as well as IEMCA and Hangsterfer's.

Greetings!
There is so much to be thankful for this time of year - our customers, vendors, partners, and each and every day we are thankful for the amazing group of family business members who come in every day full of enthusiasm, ready to make it happen!
This has been a particularly exciting and important year for us personally, as we have assumed ownership of 42% of the company. We are very grateful for the support we have recently gotten from our team, the SBDC, various consultants, and our team at People's United Bank.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday!

Bags haw Bids "Boa Viagem" to Peter Brennan...
Being able to count a valued coworker among your friends has its perks - but it also means you miss them twice as much when they are not around. With great excitement, we see Peter off to Portugal for a new adventure at the end of November. Peter and his wife, Catarina, have joined her family in her native Portugal. Peter will continue working for W.H. Bagshaw remotely, focusing on our website, quoting, and expanding our European sales base. His unique wit, deadpan jokes, and comically adult conversations with our 3 year old will certainly be missed around the office.
As always, you can count on Aaron, Adria, Aubrie or Tim to answer your questions, provide a quote, or process an order!
Best of luck Peter & Cat! |
