The SMR101A

Soil Moisture Data Logging System

 SMR101A Data Logger

MadgeTech, Inc., is pleased to announce the release of the SMR101A, a soil moisture data logging system. Soil moisture data is essential in determining and scheduling irrigation for proper plant growth, care and research. The SMR101A provides precision volumetric water content measurements over a complete range from dry to saturated. The data collected can be useful in analyzing the health of the soil and plant root systems.

The SMR101A has a 10-year battery life, allowing it to be used for long-term soil moisture analysis, over multiple seasons. The system is ideal for irrigation management, green house monitoring and soil moisture trend studies. The SMR101A features a 4Hz reading rate, a multiple start/stop function, ultra-high speed download capability, 1,000,000 reading storage capacity, optional memory wrap, battery life indicator, optional password protection, and more. The system comes with an EC-5 soil moisture probe, that has a response time of 10ms, and can be used in all soil types.

Using the MadgeTech Software, starting, stopping and downloading from the SMR101A is simple and easy. Data can be displayed in graphical, tabular and summary views and may also be automatically exported to Microsoft ExcelŽ for additional analysis.

As the leader in data logger technology, MadgeTech continuously improves its products and develops solutions to meet ever-changing challenges. MadgeTech offers free firmware upgrades for the life of the product so that data loggers already deployed in the field can grow with new technological developments. Units do not need to be returned to the factory for upgrades. The user can do this automatically from any PC.

The SMR101A is priced at $299.00. For more information, call (603) 456-2011 or e-mail sales@madgetech.com

Extreme Temperature Data Logger

HiTemp140-PT-TSK

The HiTemp140-PT-TSK is a kit that includes a HiTemp140-PT data logger housed in a thermal shield. The +/-0.1°C accuracy and the durable thermal shield allow the device to be used for a wide range of validation applications. The built in 24" RTD probe can be bent or spiraled in any direction, making it easy to log temperatures in hard to reach places. This rugged system can be placed in and withstand temperatures from -200°C to 250°C, and is completely submersible, making it ideal for use in autoclave validation, food processing and oven monitoring.

Using the MadgeTech software, the data logger is fast and easy to setup. Remove the thermal shield and place the HiTemp140-PT into the IFC400 docking station (sold separately). Using the software, an immediate or delay start can be chosen, as well as the reading rate. Select Start to program the settings and start the data logger. Place the thermal shield around the HiTemp140-PT and screw it back together. The device is ready to be deployed.

The HiTemp140-PT-TSK is priced at $549.00. For more information call (603) 456-2011 or e-mail sales@madgetech.com.

To ensure the highest level of quality during data collection, it is recommended that all MadgeTech data loggers are calibrated annually.

To determine when your device was last calibrated, simply plug the data logger into its interface cable/docking station. In the MadgeTech software, click on the Device menu and select Identify Device and Read Status. In the window that appears, click on the Device Details tab. Click the Calibration button, located on the right side of the window. This window will display the data logger name, serial number, last calibration date, and the recommended next calibration date.
