CDBF Emerging Leaders Program

Colorado Dragon Boat Festival launches

leadership program for youth

To ensure that AAPI young adults become powerful, productive, effective community and business leaders the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival has created the Asian American and Pacific Islander Emerging Leaders Program.

The Emerging Leaders Program is designed to develop the leadership skills of Asian American and Pacific Islanders -- between the ages of 18 and 25 -- by providing leadership training, support, and opportunities. The purpose of this program is to build bridges from one AAPI generation to another to help these emerging leaders become successful in their personal and professional lives and to strengthen their communities through service, engagement, and education.

For more information on the requirements and to apply, click to: http://bitly.com/cdbfleadership, or email leadership@cdbf.org. A $100 application fee is required, and will be refunded in full if an applicant is not accepted.

Three full-day workshops will be held in

January, February and March, 2012.

Application Deadline: Friday, October 28, 2011, 5pm.

The mission of the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival is to build bridges of awareness, knowledge and understanding between the diverse Asian Pacific American (APA) communities and the general public through cultural education, leadership development, and athletic competition.
