| Welcome! |

Greetings! After a recent trip to New York City for a business trip in Times Square, I couldn't help but compare the throngs of people there to the festival. Naturally, the pace of the city is much faster and frantic there than in Denver. People from around the globe and from all walks of life come together to experience NYC culture, but are mostly keeping to themselves and to their group of friends. Over the years, I've seen people from all walks of life and backgrounds come together each year to be entertained and experience Asian Pacific American culture at the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival. It's a very special community that gathers together for two days every year. And, unlike NYC, we get to know each other whether it's dancing to your favorite performer, cheering on your favorite race team or showing your moves at Cultural Unity. And, to continue building our community, you're invited to our 10th birthday party to experience more Asian culture through games! We'll have great food from Kingsland, and feature a variety of traditional Asian games including Mahjong (Chinese) and Hanafuda (Japanese) and Go (Japanese). If you've ever wanted to learn to play these games, now's your chance! Come get your game on with us -- we've even extended our early-bird deadline until Oct. 10. Details are below! Community is what happens when people come together over a common interest. Here's to us building a larger and stronger CDBF community for years to come! Best, Erin Yoshimura Executive Director |

| CHEZ THUY IN BOULDER - THIS YEAR'S "BEST OF SHOW" - FOR PORK SPRING ROLL AND GRILLED PORK RIBS |

My mother, Thuy, opened Chez Thuy in 1993. Thuy decided to bring her specialties to Boulder after successful Vietnamese restaurants in Denver (T-Wa Inn) and Englewood (T-Wa Terrace). People can expect delicious food at Chez (French for "the home of") Thuy in a comfortable atmosphere with no-nonsense, friendly service. Thuy uses her own recipes for many classic Asian dishes and several of her own creations. This seperates her from the competition and has won her many awards for best Asian cuisine.
Thuy was honored to receive the "Best of Show" at this year's festival, as her intentions were to just share in the multi-cultural experience and offer consumers a sample of her unique menu. Thuy loves the diversity at the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival and plans to attend again in 2011.
We invite you to come visit us in Boulder and see Thuy's vast menu that is sure to please everyone.
Thank You, Chez Thuy

DONATE AND HELP FLOAT OUR BOATS |
Did you enjoy the 10th Annual Colorado Dragon Boat Festival?
Producing a large event like this takes a lot of resources and funds each year. While we're grateful to our many hard-working volunteers, we need your help to ensure that we'll be celebrating many more birthdays for the festival.
We're trying to raise $20,000 by the end of the year, with people like you donating $10 (or more is great too!) to move the dragon boats a little closer to our goal.
We partner with an innovative Denver organization, GivingFirst, to process your online donations.
When you donate to CDBF through GivingFirst, the Community First Foundation will pay the credit card processing fees. So every dollar you donate goes straight to our campaign. This is a great way to maximize your generous donation in support of the largest pan-Asian celebration in Colorado.
