Sat Nam!
I was talking to my boyfriend recently and he suggested I start writing a newsletter. I was telling him how many newsletters I receive per month and many of them are so esoteric that they just sound like Blah! Blah! Blah!
I knew if I was to do this I needed to write something that people could actually use in their day to day life. So, this newsletter will consist of practices that I use on a daily basis, ritual ideas that come through for my clients as well as things that you, the reader send me that works for you.
I hope you enjoy this guide and share it with others.

Practice Before Driving
Aad Guray Nameh
If you are anything like me these days you are very aware of how anxious every driver on the road is.
It can be very harrowing to even get into the car to drive to your destination without feeling tense about getting there.
The following is a kundalini yoga mantra that I use every time I get into the car. My son and I chant it on the way to school to strengthen his auric field.
Aad Guray Nameh Jugaad Guray Nameh Sat Guray Nameh Siri Guroo Dayvay Nameh
What it means: I bow to the Primal Guru. I bow to the Guru of the Ages. I bow to the True Guru. I bow to the Infinitely Great Divine Guru.
Guru means that which turns darkness to light. You are the True Guru. So, essentially, you are calling on that Divine Self that you are to expand your auric field for strength and protection.
For a correct pronunciation of the mantra click on the link below. I say it three times before I drive.

A Way Back To Center
A Spiral Ritual
Set your intention: To find your way back to center.
Place an unlit candle in the center of your largest room. You will need a space that you can walk in freely.
Light a candle that you can carry in both hands. Start walking in a spiral towards the unlit candle. Walk slowly, with intention. Walk clockwise. This picture goes counter clockwise so notice the difference. Really take your time as you move closer and closer to the center of the spiral. Once you reach the center bend down to light the center candle from the candle that you carry.
As you walk you can say something like. "I am walking to my Center. Each step I take brings me closer to who I really am." When you bend down to light the center candle you can say. "I have reached my destination. I have reached my Self. And So It Is and It Is So! Sat Nam!
Feel free to use your own words these are simply suggestions to get you started. You may feel the need to do this ritual several times. Do it whenever you feel out of Center.

Yogi Tea
It Cures What Ails Ya'
I
make this tea almost every day. When I'm tired and need a healthy pick
me up I drink it. If I'm feeling ill I drink it. If I'm feeling blue
I drink it. I don't send my boy off to school without at least a glass
of this in the morning. We drink it hot in the winter and iced in the
summer.
Make
at least 4 cups of Yogi Tea at a time. It's a good idea to make large
batches at a time, and store it in the refrigerator without milk; then
add milk when you want to drink it. It can stay fresh in the
refrigerator for about a week. I make ours with unsweetened almond
milk instead of cows milk. I also use vegetable glycerin as a sweetener
instead of honey because it doesn't send my blood sugars into orbit.
For ONE cup, the measurements are: 10 oz. water 3 whole cloves 4 whole green cardamom pods (cracked open is best) 4 whole black peppercorns 1/2 stick cinnamon 1 slice ginger root 1/4 tsp. black tea (optional) 1/4 cup milk
Boil
the spices for 10-15 minutes, with the top on the pot(just leave it
open a crack to let a little of the steam out). Add black tea and steep
for 2 minutes. Add milk, then bring to a boil. Remove immediately from
the stove, and strain. Add honey to taste.

Benefits Of Yogi Tea
Yogi Bhajan says about
Yogi Tea: "If you take a really a good amount of Yogi Te a, it will keep
your liver very well. It is said to help the liver. And when we started
in the sixties, people who had drug habits, who couldn't even move, we
put them on Yogi Tea." Yogi Tea is actually a combination of foods. It
is a tonic to the nervous system. It can help to balance your system
when you are feeling out of balance. It has been used often as a remedy
and preventative measure for colds, flu and diseases of the mucous
membranes. Black pepper is a blood purifier. Cardamom is for the colon.
Together they support the brain cells. Cloves help support the nervous
system. Cinnamon is good for the bones. Ginger helps strengthen the
nervous system and is very good if you have a cold, flu, physical
weakness. It can help women when they are experiencing menstrual
discomfort, such as cramps or PMS symptoms. You can try making Yogi Tea
with extra ginger when you are feeling a cold or the flu coming on. If
a man takes a cup of Yogi Tea after intercourse, it can help to
replenish his body. In addition, Yogi Tea diluted with milk, can be
very helpful to a child who is experiencing the pains of teething.
