SRMS PARENT NIGHT
Tuesday, September 1 @ 6:30pm
Join us in the cafetorium for our first Regular PTA meeting of the year followed by Parent Night. We will be on a bell schedule and you will have the opportunity to attend each classroom to learn about classroom expectations, curriculum, projects, homework, testing, and more!

(Wrap-Pak School Supplies will be sold)
6th: August 14, 2009 1:30 p.m.
7th: August 14, 2009 10:30 a.m.
8th: August 14, 2009 8:30 a.m.

School supplies can be dropped off from August 17-21 during the above hours.

Don't Miss Out on News from SRMS!  At the bottom of this electronic newsletter click on Update Profile/Email Address. You will be instructed to confirm your email address and to click submit.
An email will be sent to you asking you to update your profile. At that time please click on the appropriate grade level of your child/children then click on Save Profile Changes.
This will allow you to continue receiving the e-newsletter and e-information uninterrupted this school year. After the September issue goes out, the database from last year will be removed and you will no longer receive the e-newsletter unless you update your profile.

Volunteer Background Check
ALL Volunteers must resubmit a volunteer background check through LISD in order to volunteer at school. This background check will allow you to volunteer at any LISD school. Please click HERE to go to the webpage. There are instructions on the first page that will help you complete the online form. |

Costco Memberships
COSCTO is a national sponsor of National PTA. They are offering PTA members the choice of a discounted membership or a $50 coupon book with the purchase of a membership.
COSTCO representatives will be in the Shadow Ridge cafeteria from 11-3 during orientation if you wish to stop by and ask questions about the program.

Friday, August 21st:
Freshmen & Sophomores
Official Schedule & Book Pick-up - Main Hallway
9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
All schedule corrections must be turned into the counselling office before NOON on August 19th! Once school begins, NO schedule changes will be made until at least the first nine weeks. You will be committed to all PAP/AP courses until the end of the first three weeks of the first semester, at which time an evaluation may require a level down.
Monday, August 24th:
First day of school
Wednesday, September 2nd:
6:30 PM PTSA Meeting near cafeteria
6:30 - 8:00 PM Vendor Fair in cafeteria
7:00 PM Teacher visits begin
