Principal Matters
Mr. Goldsmith
I am writing with a heavy heart.  It is finally time for me to retire from my position as principal at Shadow Ridge Middle School; my final destination in Lewisville Independent School District.  I have 36 years in the field of education.

I love Shadow Ridge Middle School, the teachers, students and parents that have all contributed to my experience during the first three years of its existence.  If there is such a thing as a perfect school, this would be it.  The partnership between school and home needs to be commended.  This partnership is what makes it successful.  I am going to miss every aspect of Shadow Ridge, especially my association with our PTA.  We have the best PTA in the district because we have one rule;  everything we do is for the benefit of our kids.  Our PTA board is to be commended.

I am in the process of starting my new career.  I now have my real estate license with Keller Williams here in Flower Mound.  My long range plans are to work with my oldest daughter, Allison Goldsmith.  She has been an agent in Flower Mound for the past 10 years.  With my new career, I feel I will still be a part of this community and be able to keep up with my many positive contacts I have made throughout the years.  Feel free to call me for any reason.

Thank you,
Gary L. Goldsmith

Library Knitting / Crafts clubs make cards for the Troops!

School SuppliesSome of our students in the Library Knitting/Crafts club made various types of greeting cards for troops in Iraq to use when a soldier needed a  card to mail home.

Mrs. Sandra Park provided the supplies and is taking care of sending the finished cards to Iraq.

The students spent 3 days after school making over 100 beautiful handmade cards.
