Establishing Ministry and Business Credit The Right Way
April Mason

One of the biggest obstacles to overcome at times as a new business or non-profit organization is having enough resources to do what you're called to do. Today I am very excited to introduce you to my colleage April Mason, who I like to call "The Credit Builder".  April has taken her corporate experience and developed a wonderful system that teaches Ministry Leaders, Entrepreurs and Music Artists how to leverage their resources, establish and maintain their professional credit, in a way that won't BLOW their personal credit.  You'll love my interview with her.

DHO:
What is business credit?
April Mason: Business credit is credit that is established through the business name not ones personal name.

DHO:
How hard/easy is it to establish business credit?
April Mason: Easier than you think

DHO: How so? Please explain.
April Mason: When your business has been formatted correctly the sky is the limit when it comes to building business credit. I believe the problem is many don't have the knowledge of how there business should be set up in order to build credit through the business.
DHO:
Why should a small business or non-profit organization establish business credit?
April Mason: It allows the business or non-profit to separate their personal assets from their business assets. Also it allows you to leverage your capital.

DHO:
What do you believe are the pitfalls of NOT having business credit?
April Mason: Failure of your business. Other than your product business credit is the life of your business. Most of the time you can't have a successful product without having too first get the finances to produce your product or service. Many business fail because of the lack of finances to get the business off the ground.

DHO: How do you determine how much business credit is RIGHT/DOABLE for your business or organization?
April Mason: Look at what your company can pay back.

DHO: Tell me about your ebook: Your Guide To Building Business Credit?
April Mason:  I wrote this book after working in corporate America in commercial credit. I would constantly have to deny applications because many companies did not qualify there business before the applied. Most believe that myth that just because they have a tax id number (EIN) that their company automatically qualify for credit and that is simply not true. I knew that I wasn't the only one that wanted to be a successful business owner so I wanted to provide a vital to to others so that they could be successful as well. This book gives you step-by-step information on how to build business credit in as little as 90-120! I wrote it very plain and simple that even my 13 year old daughter would understand it.

DHO:Who is the ideal candidate for purchasing the ebook?
April Mason: Entrepreneur's, aspiring entrepreneur's and ministries

DHO:What type of business solutions do you offer to churches/ministries and non-profit organizations?
April Mason: Well the ebook is a resource that we offer to those that want to gain the knowledge of business credit. Our company provides a service that will build the corporate credit that churches and ministries need. This allows them to focus on the vision that God has given them while we position them to operate in excellence.

Many ministries are in need of church, media equipment, computers for after school programs etc... It gives me pleasure to be able to assist the body of Christ with getting the resources they need to operate in Excellence.

E-BOOK AND  SERVICE TESTIMONIALS

Greetings to you and yours!
Dwann Holmes Olsen
I hope this February note finds you and yours doing well. Can you believe it's already the second month of 2008? Wow!

So, what new project(s) are you determined to complete this year? What new challenges are you determined to solve?

For me, 2008 is about implementing strategic SYSTEMS of solutions just for you. Specifically for 5-fold ministry gifts (Apostles,Prophets, Pastors, Teachers, Evangelists) Music Artists and Entrepreneurs. Thus, as I continue my personal mission of educating, enlightening and empowering, I'll do so by giving you more creative and cost-efficient methods to gain knowledge. After all, one of my favorite books states: "People perish for LACK of knowledge"

Are You Prepared For Tax Season?

For instance, it's tax season and as that deadline approaches many of those in ministry and in the marketplace will procrastinate not because you don't want to get the task done, but rather because you FEAR the task at hand.

Why do you fear? I'm glad you asked.

We fear the task because we lack the knowledge  needed to complete the task confidently and in a timely fashion. So, days turn into weeks, weeks into months and next thing you know, we've missed the deadline. Trust me. I've been there, more times than I'd like to admit.

The truth of the matter is, while doing taxes for your self  and maybe your spouse can be easily completed for most of us, doing them for a ministry or marketplace ministry (business) is normally a whole other ball game. There are so many more rules and regulations to be aware of that even if you're just starting out with a small staff or small congregation, your best best is to stick to what you do best and DELEGATE what you know you need assistance with.

Pastors, You Can Learn Some Valuable Information From My Interview with Pastor Gregory L.Clarke of Birmingham, Alabama, Who Has To Report To the Bureau of Prisons on February 14th

For those of you who didn't get a chance to listen live to my interview with Pastor Gregory L. Clarke of Birmingham, Alabama, I encourage you to do so now. It is definitely worth your while to set aside an hour of your time to listen to the archived version or  even  download the MP3 for FREE.

Here's how I summed it up on my myspace BLOG:
The BOTTOM LINE, if you're in ministry or pastoring a church, make sure you have someone on staff who is charged with, pays attention to and understand ALL of the I.R.S. rulings that come down daily and yearly. Make sure they are aware of what the I.R.S. is not going to tolerate and what the I.R.S. is clamping down on NOW, even if the government hasn't done so in the past.

Clarke pastors a 6000 member church and is really a pioneer in community redevelopment. Years ago when he realized that the community in his church's neighborhood DIDN'T have bank within a 5 mile radius, he FOUNDED A COMMERCIAL CREDIT union, in that community. He's also helped create a non-profit Senior Citizens Apartment Home where residents don't have to pay more than 300 bucks per month to live there. Plus the ministry had a full-fledge school and the list goes on.

Here's the kicker, PLUS many of those non-profits have just won MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR government grants over the last couple of years. So IMAGINE everyone's surprise and confusion when Pastor Clarke, the man many consider a financial expert, is actually convicted of tax fraud.

The DA's say he concocted an elaborate scheme to hide income that his church gave to him as a gift. Clarke says, that is not the case and that no one on his staff, board etc... ever knew that the way money "switched hands" in this case was a violation of tax rules.

You can listen to the whole interview on my Dwann & Company BLOGTALKRADIO player.

What does Stewardship encompass? By Debra Lohrere

Debra Lohrere - Australia

The Biblical principle of stewardship of our finances encompasses three separate points. Firstly it relates to good money management. We need to be careful not to squander the resources that God gives to us. We should learn good money management techniques, and learn not to be susceptible to impulse buying.

The second aspect of stewardship is related to investing to make the resources that God gives to us grow, so that we can sow more back into the Lord's work. In the parable that Jesus told about the three servants who were given gold coins. Two of them invested the money and gave their master more than He had entrusted them with. The third servant went and buried it for safekeeping - and the master was angry at that servant for not putting the money He had been entrusted to use.

The third aspect of stewardship is giving. We have been commanded to "Give tithes and offerings to the Lord". We have been instructed us to be good stewards and to use what God gives us wisely.

I believe that God wants to bless his children and to bless them abundantly.

Don't we want the best for our own children? We don't want them to struggle financially and have the pressure of trying to make ends meet.

I am sure that our Father in Heaven is exactly the same. He wants us to put Him first in our lives, and in turn wants to bless us.

God wants us to be financially secure not just so that we don't have to struggle with financial pressures - but also because prosperity allows us to bless others more.

When we wisely invest our finances we will have more available to effectively support the missionaries in the field, to finance Christian satellite TV stations and to support the needy in our local community.

A wealthy person has far more power to aide the needy financially than the best-meaning poor person.

I believe God is calling us to embark on the road to financial security so that we can be in the position to fund the resources needed to assist in the great revival.

Some Christians believe that it is wrong to desire wealth, but at the same time they try to give whatever they can. They fail to see that they would be able to give far more generously if they possessed invested what they had and increased their finances.

We need to remember that our finances belong to God. He is our master and we are just the caretakers. We should do our utmost to carefully manage and increase what He has given us, and be open to Hearing from the Holy Spirit to guide us in the direction that He leads us to sow these finances back into.

God is calling us to be proactive with investing. He wants us not only to have faith and believe that He wants to bless us, and to openly and joyfully accept what He wants to give us, but to also seek the wisdom and knowledge that are required both to create and to manage wealth.

With more wealth comes more responsibility. But I believe that as we take care of the little that God has given us, and are faithful in giving as He directs - He will Help us learn what we need to know and will Help to point us in the right direction so that we can continue to create more and use it wisely.

He wants us to become wise investors, and to find out as much knowledge as we can to enable us to make wise, well informed decisions.

At school we were taught skills to enable us to leave school and get a job and earn a wage. But we were never taught how to manage our finances or how to build wealth. We were not taught how to invest.

As good stewards, we need to self-educate ourselves about how-to and where-to invest our resources for the most effective growth.

From the Voice of Prophets - Now Versus Then - B. Dwayne Hardin
B. Dwayne Hardin: www.bdwaynehardin.com
This is a now season for you, however you must give up then, because then is filled with limitations and devastations from yesterdays victories, defeats, excitements, pains...whatever 'then' contained has nothing really to do with what the Lord is manifesting now.  Don't slide back to yesterday for what I am doing now, says the Lord is so much greater in comparison.  I know you will wonder 'well how considering all of the traumatic experiences so many of us have had to suffer" and I will say to you, they are all temporary experiences that can work toward a better outcome.

Now is the season to tap into My wisdom, creativity, and concepts to come up with long term solutions to the problems & crises lingering from then.  Now is the time to move into a greater you where "they" can't take from you anything.  Now is the time to relentlessly pursue My heart and thoughts, after all they are of you and what I desire towards you.  Now is your season of a fresh start...don't shrink back confusing this season with every other season where you did not realize breakthrough for your life...this is not that season, it is a now season of forward progress.  Increase your aptitude and learn Me then you will have increased your knowledge of who you are, and the more you come to know who you are the greater your capacity will be to operate My victory in the earth.  This is your now season! says the Lord.
