The Second Vial Judgment
Revelation Chapter 16
And the second angel poured out his vial
upon the
sea; and it became as the blood
of a
dead man:
and every living soul died in the sea. Rev 16:3
The whole history of the world does not
present such
a period of naval war, destruction and
bloodshed.

The Age of Fighting Sail
Admiral Horatio Nelson
Naval warfare between Britain and France raged
from the start of the French Revolution through
the Napoleonic era. When the smoke
cleared, the
Papal nations had been swept from the
seas and
had suffered the loss of all their colonies
in the
Caribbean and in South America.
The control of the seas enabled the gospel to
go out all over the world. The major foreign
bible societies were formed within ten years
of Britain
gaining control of the Mediterranean.
Defeat and Judgment on Babylon - end of the 1260
Victory and Blessing on Israel - end of the 2520
One name personifies this era, Lord Horatio
Nelson.
His name was immortalized after defeating the
French at the Battle of the Nile. This was
one of
the most decisive naval victories in
history. It is
said to have changed the balance of power in
Europe.
The battle of the Nile took place at an
appointed
time.
1798 was the end of both the time times and half
a time (the 1260) and the seven times punishment
(the 2520). Clearly God's hand can be seen in
judging
the papal nations and pouring blessings upon the
protestant Israel nations.
This victory enabled Britain to capture Malta
and thus
gain control of the Mediterranean. Napoleon's
war
chest sank into Aboukir bay, a devastating
blow to
France. This loss forced Napoleon to sell all
French
possessions in North America, the Louisiana
purchase.
Nelson was a Chosen Instrument
1798 was an Appointed Time
God had long before determined blessings and
victory
on Israel's descendants at this appointed
hour. And he
prepared a remarkable individual as His chosen
instrument to accomplish the task.
Papacy Suffers Deadly Wound
Napoleon Imprisons the Pope
While Nelson triumphed over the French at
Aboukir Bay, the Pope languished in prison in
Italy.
The Papacy had suffered its "deadly wound" six
months earlier in February of 1798. Napoleon had
ordered his general Bertier to invade Italy and the
Pope had been literally riden out of town by French
dragoons. He would die in prison July 28, 1799.
