Poinsettias are EASY to grow!
Here's an easy, elegant addition to your holiday decorations and a thoughtful gift.
Many people assume that poinsettias are hard to care for, but in reality they are quite easy.
1. Watering: do not let them become too wet or too dry. Lift the pot and feel its weight. If it feels light, give it a good drink of warm water. Feel the weight of the pot after watering to get a sense of how heavy it is when wet. Don't water again until it feels light when lifted. When you water, water thoroughly and only use warm water. If you have a saucer or pot cover that holds water underneath the plant, be sure to drain out any excess water in order to prevent root rot.
2. Keep poinsettias away from excessive heat, drafts, or cool open doors and windows. They prefer temps. between 63-68°F (17-20°C).
3. If there is a problem with your poinsettia, it is usually due to watering. When in doubt, lift the pot with one hand and refer to step 1!
4. Poinsettias are not poisonous to people or pets (but we don't suggest consuming them!) Email Poinsettia Special Cash & Carry
