It's finally summer! We have been waiting a long time. The cool (usually COLD) spring and moisture have really got the plants off to a great start. They are used to the cool temperatures and now that it's hot, the plants need to adjust, just like we do. It will take a little extra water for the lawn and plants during this adjustment period.
Now is the time to prune your spring blooming plants, such as lilacs and forsythia. By pruning now, you will not affect their blooming next spring. This is a task you don't want to wait any longer to do.
