Greetings!

It has been 11 ½  years since AnimalSense has been in operation, providing the highest level of training and behavior services to you and your dog, as well as thousands of other amazing animals and people in the Chicagoland area. Throughout these many years AnimalSense has grown, changed and matured in ways I never thought possible... and I am eternally proud and grateful to the many clients, dogs, colleagues and dear friends that have been a part of AnimalSense's ever-evolving transformation.

To that end, I am honored to share with you yet another amazing transformation. It is with great pride (some of it bittersweet), that I announce AnimalSense divided into two companies last month.

Jamie & LindsayLindsay Rapp is the new owner of AnimalSense Canine Training and Behavior, which includes all of our public training services, and I, Jamie, will continue to own and operate AnimalSense Academy (under a new name soon TBD). This will allow me to designate all my professional time and resources to supporting and growing the Academy program, along with professional consulting projects. Stay tuned for AnimalSense Academy info and other information and goings on coming to your mailbox over the next several months. And of course, the most exciting part of my future: Drew and I will be welcoming our daughter to the world in just three short months!

Some of you already know Lindsay, as she has been the voice of AnimalSense for the greater part of the past year in the role as our Client Services Coordinator. Prior to that, Lindsay was a student of the AnimalSense Academy program and graduated with her sights set on a operating a pet business in her future... and almost two years later, that business happens to be AnimalSense Canine Training and Behavior Services, Inc! It's truly a match made in heaven, as Lindsay and I share a common respect for people, pets and small business. It is with 100% confidence that I hand the reigns to her. Please join me in wishing all the best to Lindsay and her staff of dedicated animal training professionals. They are the best people I know and I am so excited for the future of AnimalSense. You can reach Lindsay with any questions, comments or notes of congratulations via lindsay@animalsense.com

I invite you to please remain in touch with me via my (temporary) email, jamie.k9biz@gmail.com.

Thank you for the many years of joy and love.

Eternally Yours,

Jamie Damato Migdal

AnimalSense Now Offers Tellington TTouch

Betsy LaneWe are proud to welcome Betsy Lane, Chicagoland's only Certified Tellington TTouch® Practitioner for Companion Animals. She uses novel, positive training experiences to address underlying issues that affect dogs' behavior and performance, such as anxiousness, fear, restlessness, or gait or movement problems. Helping dogs overcome these challenges enhances the effectiveness of other positive training methods while deepening the human-animal bond. A cautious canine first led Betsy to TTouch, and helping shy, cautious, or fearful dogs gain confidence, resilience, and trust in their environments remains a personal passion. You can find out more about her business at www.petkido.com.

Betsy will provide a TTouch seminar for the public at our Oak Park location next month. Sign up here.

Meet the Mom of our Mother Daughter Team

Paulette & SitkaPaulette Solinski thought attending AnimalSense Academy with her daughter, Sarah, would be a fun thing to do together. Little did she know it would turn into a second job! The lawyer turned Junior Trainer now assists training classes, where she enjoys watching the progress a dog and family makes from the first day to the last. Sarah is also a Junior Trainer. "The AnimalSense staff is amused by our dynamic since we generally sound more like mother and daughter than co-workers," says Paulette. Her best training tip? "Relax and enjoy your dogs. Training should be fun for both of you."
