KleenSpeed Participates in ASP Summit : Sep 7, 2012

KleenSpeed's first participation as an Associate Partner in the Accelerating Sustainable Performance Program was as part of the 2nd Annual ASP Summit Event held at Sonoma Raceway on September 7, 2012.  The program was introduced by Steve Page, president and GM of Sonoma Raceway, and led by a keynote speech on innovation in sustainable sporting event production from Neil Duffy, Chief Marketing and Sustainability Officer for the 34th America's Cup Sailing Event to be held in San Francisco next year.

The keynote was followed by panel discussions on the Metrics of Sustainable Performance and the State of Sustainable Racing.  KleenSpeed's CEO, Tim Collins, was part of the later panel and raised a few eyebrows with his confident statement that "Electric racing will replace Formula 1 within 10 years."

Following the panels, a track event featured displays of sustainable performance by KleenSpeed, Mission Motors, Yokahama Tires, and the Cal Sol solar vehicle.  The scrambls / KleenSpeed EVX-11 racecar set an EV lap record for Sonoma Raceway during the event.

"We look forward to working with Sonoma Raceway to advance establishment of sustainable racing."

                                                                                        Tim Collins, KleenSpeed CEO
