RACING INTO THE FUTURE : The EV-X11

KLEENSPEED has built the Fastest Electric Track Racing Car in the World. Competition has always been the crucible that forged the greatest advances in vehicle technology, and KLEENSPEED has embraced the challenge of developing the world's fastest EV race car as a suitable means of accelerating technology. We have chosen to develop an electric race car for track events as this type of racing offers challenges that meet our definition of overall EV performance - to optimize all relevant EV system factors - acceleration, top speed, range and power management.
We have met this challenge for the past 2 years by placing 1st in the prototype category of the ReFuel EV Challenge held at the world famous Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California. KLEENSPEEDs EV-X11 race car features a complete proprietary drivetrain and power system which has been continually developed and improved since we began development in 2008. Racing success validates the technologies which we will transfer to practical, real-world EV solutions.
The EV-X11 is the latest generation of KLEENSPEED race technology and will compete again in the ReFuel challenge on June 26, 2011 and we are working hard to beat last years record 94 mph lap average.
We are in the process of recruiting additional sponsors to expand our racing program. In addition to the Refuel Event, we plan on setting new lap records at America's most famous racetracks via the KLRC Series (KLEENSPEED EV National Lap Record Challenge Series), building a new EV race car for the "Race to the Clouds" Pikes Peak Hill Climb, competing in all relevant EV Time Trials and entering the international EV CUP series, starting in the US this Fall.
