HARDROCK MINERS HONORED BY STATE OF COLORADO AT CMA CONFERENCE

      This year, two hardrock mining companies, Black Range Minerals &
and Rio Grande Silver, achieved recognition for outstanding contributions to mined land reclamation.  Additionally, Jane Mannon, Community Affairs Manager, Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company, received the James Pendleton Reclamation Award.

LOCAL GOVERNMENTS WILL GET THEIR DAY IN COURT ON PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION LAWSUIT

       

     Local governments will finally get their day in court now that the Colorado Supreme Court, in an April 23 ruling, has rejected motions by the Public Utilities Commission (PUC), Xcel Energy (Public Service Company of Colorado or PSCo), and the gas industry to dismiss a lawsuit challenging a controversial plan....

CMA Members:  

This is your opportunity to provide input on the conference program and assist in planning the event. 
The initial meeting of the planning committee for the 115th National Western Mining Conference on Tuesday, May 15 at 9:30 a.m. at the CMA office.   Next year we are planning to hold the conference again jointly with the SME at the Colorado Convention Center February 24-27, 2013.
