AIA Arkansas is issuing a call for nominations for a Gulf State Regional Representative to the AIA National Board of Directors.  The position will begin in December 2011.   AIA Arkansas will choose one nominee to serve this position.  This nominee will be voted on by secret ballot by those attending the business meeting at the state convention in September.

The appointment is for a three-year term (Dec. 2011 - Dec. 2014) and calls for a person willing and able to make a commitment to AIA. The presented nominee will be made by the sitting AIA Arkansas board itself through selection from a pool of names established by this call for nominations. While previous experience as an AIA board member or administrator is helpful, it is not essential for nomination. Some experience with AIA should be considered necessary; otherwise the nominee might be unfamiliar with the highly complex series of deliberations involved with this position.

For consideration, please submit a completed nomination form indicating a willingness to serve and  resume including qualifications for the position, two letters of recommendation from AIA members in good standing or a petition of no less than ten names of AIA members in good standing including their member number.  Reference to the AIA Arkansas Bylaws for Institute Directors is listed below.

Nominations should be sent to:
