Greetings!
Happy New Year!! I hope you had a relaxing break and are all geared up for the new year. It is hard to believe that we are already into the month of January and that the 29th Annual Washington TSA State Conference is less than 3 months away. As we continue to plan for this great event, the State Officer Team and I can't wait to see everyone at the Bellevue Hilton on March 22-24. Today marks the kick off of our countdown to state. Below you will find important information about the State Conference and links to more information. As a reminder our registration is all inclusive, meaning it includes Hotel, Meals, Registration, Entertainment, and a Polo Shirt. Also, the Registration Deadline is February 17th. For complete information about the conference visit: www.washingtontsa.org or the State Conference page at: www.tinyurl.com/wtsastate The best advice I can give is to get your students started early, to get your paperwork moving early--including district travel paperwork, and to get registered early. Housing will be assigned on a first come fist served basis. If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know. I look forward to seeing you in March.
Sincerely,
Ross Short Executive Director Washington Technology Student Association

Please refer to the following document for the complete list of Competitive Events Offered in Washington State, Entry Limits, and Rule Changes: National TSA has also updated a few of the rules since the guides were published. You can find these updates at:

Please note that when you register, you will register Structural Engineering, Technology Problem Solving, and Problem Solving as Individual Events. They will still compete in these as Teams of 2, however we do not need to know the team makeups for these events until the conference.
Students are limited to a MAXIMUM OF 6 events each.

| | In our continued effort to help assist you and your chapter and to provide you with tools to make running your chapter go smoother, we have put together a section on our State Conference Website that provides you with some of these tools.
Currently I have placed a copy of a packet that I hand out to my students for them to register with. This helps to keep me organized and them as well. As they turn in the packet, I review it, and place it in a note book. I also attach any district required forms to it. That way when they turn it in to register for the conference, I have everything they will need and I am not chasing forms later.
If you have forms or letters that you would like to share, please send them to me and I will upload them to the website.
