Donna Lamb recently discussed Huntsville's physician and medical facility needs with Dr. Pam Hudson, CEO of Crestwood Medical Center. According to Dr. Hudson, Crestwood Medical Center has recruited more than 50 new physicians over the last five years to accommodate the healthcare needs of our growing community.
As the Huntsville/Madison County and North Alabama areas continue to grow as a result of BRAC and other favorable economic activities, Crestwood Medical Center will continue its recruitment efforts, particularly for primary care physicians. Plans are underway to bring in more than 10 physicians in 2011 that include the following specialties: Cardiology, Endocrinology, ENT, Family Practice, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, and OB/GYN.
Lamb Commercial Services represents property on the Crestwood campus from 1500-6000 s.f. You can view these here. |

Friends:
I would like to share an article with you. In Realtor magazine's January 2011 article "Welcome to The New Normal", Mariwyn Evans outlines the 2011 commercial outlook with a realistic though promising perspective. In particular, regarding commercial markets, the article points to a leveling off of decline, which translates for us to a great time to buy commercial real estate for our own needs or for investment purposes. National office vacancy rates will begin to decrease in 2011 as opposed to an increase in 2009 and 2010. The same can be said for national industrial and multifamily vacancy rates. National retail vacancy rates will hold steady compared to 2010, which is a refreshing change from the 1% increase between 2009 and 2010. For the complete article, click here.
What this means for investors and businesses is that now is the time to get good deals on real estate. The risk is diminished and the turn-around is here! Contact me to explore properties that fit this description in our community.
Sincerely,
Donna Lamb |

Lamb Commercial Services does more than sell and lease real estate. We also want to play a role in bettering our community. Did you know Lamb Commercial Services' offices house the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation?
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF) is the worldwide leader in funding research to cure type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disease that strikes children and adults suddenly and lasts a lifetime. JDRF is the leading funder and advocate of type 1 diabetes science.

Last year, JDRF established a Huntsville chapter and Karen Morris took the leadership reins. She works with JDRF to host events throughout the year to fund this crucial cause. Their signature event, Huntsville's Walk to Cure Diabetes, will feature Corporate Chair Tom Baumbach, President of Dynetics, and will be held at the Dynetics Research Park campus on September 18, 2011. For a complete calendar of events, visit their website.
To date, JDRF's Huntsville Chapter has raised $150,000 of its fiscal year goal of $195,000. Join us in helping them reach their goal by June 30, 2011. To donate, go to jdrfalabama.org and use the Donate Now link. You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter. | |
