PMA will be running a series of seminars and workshops primarily targeting the prosumer, and Jerry Courvoisier will be the first presenter in what will be an ongoing series.
We know there are between 500k and 750k prosumers in Australia, many of these are your customers.
The presenter will be suggesting to course attendees.... equipment, software and ideas throughout his presentation.
Our objective is not just to educate, but to create sales for PMA members. Your involvement is therefore key to the success of the ongoing initiative and hopefully will result in more sales and a closer tie to your customer.
As such can you send this piece of communication below to your customers via your own data bases ASAP?.
Note that there will be a 10% refund for members who send people to the PMA site and they sign-up as attendees.
There will also be a discount for your staff.....from $129 down to $100 for the seminars, and $299 down to $249 for the worshops.
To make this work we need YOU to tell your customers....
Kind regards,
Peter Rose

Facebook : Photo Marketing Down Under Group - by Jill Boswell |
Our humble apologies to those of you who tried to join the Photo Marketing Down Under Group after reading the article in last week's newsline.
Please try the group link again - we've tested it and it's working now. The security setting was set so strong no-one could get in to ask to join!
http://www.facebook.com/groups/151513818307324/
This group was created following a suggestion by Alan Logue that those Aussies and Kiwis who attended the inaugural Photo Marketing Exchange Dinner in Melbourne following DIMA day might like to keep in touch with their new acquaintances.
This will be a group for independent Australian, New Zealand and Pacific Island photo/camera businesses to exchange marketing ideas, discuss issues, post photos and share related content and is not restricted to those that came to the dinner.
We've heard that some photo business owners feel nervous about sharing ideas on Facebook because it is so public. To give these members the confidence to share ideas the group has been set up so that it will require approval for members to join and only members will see the posts and who else is a member. We look forward to having you on board.

Free Access to Photo Review eMagazine | |
Over the past few years we have published a number of articles that encourage local purchase, including one in the current issue of the Photo Review, and we'd like to encourage local retailers to use these articles, and other articles like our camera Editor's Choices, to help their camera sales.
So with that in mind, we've recently added a free current eMagazine issue link that may be of interest to PMA members.
Last week The Age Green Guide described Photo Review as "inspiring and informative". So until 15 July we're giving free access to the eMagazine edition for photographers to have a closer look at the current issue - see:
http://www.photoreview.com.au/featured/photo-review-reviewed
This is something PMA members might want use for their sales staff and to pass on to their customers.
Best regards,
David
