This Week In Melbourne...You Are Going...Right?? | |
Yes, there are worldclass speakers and "cutting edge" topics that are designed to give your business every chance of succeeding. And yes, the 20% of the industry that attend our conferences have already committed, but it is not too late for you to change your mind and register!
Seriously..if you have an interest in your business growing and prospering, you must attend The PMA Digital conference starting next Thursday.
This sounds like a really good idea!
In Monday's Sydney Morning Herald, there was an article on an "ideas" bus rolling across the USA with young Aussie Geeks, looking to progress start up business's ( Like a conference on wheels !).One idea being developed really caught my eye:
"35 YO Bart Jellema from Sydney, is building YearInPrint, which aims to preserve users social network memories by intelligently plucking out their most memorable Facebook posts (and photos?) and printing them in a glossy book."
Sounds like one perfect marriage of social media and Photobooks?
See you in Melbourne.
Cheers

Hot Pickers Needed! | |
No, we are not forming a photo industry bluegrass band - PMA is looking for 'anonymous reporters' to participate in this year's Hot Picks program on Friday, May 25.
Hot Picks will be coordinated by Bill McCurry, visiting from the US to meet local retailers, and 'MC' both the Marketing Ideas Exchange workshop and dinner on Thursday evening, and the Hot Picks nominations on Friday afternoon.
'Hot Picks' are new products or services which the participating reporters feel have the most potential to draw in extra revenue. They can be products for sale, or for use in store or lab to increase efficiency, or allow the retailer to offer new lines.
Volunteers need to be free of any financial involvement with exhibitors (well, it's OK to owe them money!) and will mainly be drawn from attending retailers, lab operators and pro photographers. They will need to visit stands on Friday morning and call in their nominations by noon.
The revealing of the 2012 Hot Picks will take place at 3pm at the 3AW Broadcast Lounge.
To be involved as a reporter - for which Bill promises appealing 'sweeteners' - call him on his local mobile: 0405 927 349.
