Yoga for Good NewsletterJune 2011

spring flowers
Greetings student, I think I can say with confidence that spring has finally sprung.  I hope that this season full of blooms and buds inspires us to spring into practice. It has been a long winter and chilly spring getting ourselves moving should be a top priority so we can again enjoy many outdoor activites.  Yoga For Good continues to strive to provide classes which engage students and enhance the community through donations. I hope to see the season and your practice inspire you into the summer.

Namaste,

DAISNew charities benefiting from our practice are Gio's Garden, the National MS Society, and Girls on the Run Dane County.

The Mission

Gio's Garden's mission as a non-profit organization is to nurture and strengthen families with special needs children (birth to 6 years) by increasing their access to needed services.

The Vision

Gio's Garden seeks to grow into a one-stop special services delivery organization for special needs children and their families. Examples could include a respite care facility, professional therapy, client advocacy, and social work/support.

Let's Feed the Hungry

Did you know that Yoga For Good works with the First United Methodist Church Food Pantry?  We think of giving to food pantries over the Holiday season, but the truth is the pantries of Dane County are seeing higher numbers every month.  There are two classes per week held at the church that contribute to the pantry.  Enjoy a serene yoga class in the Church's beautiful chapel and feel good about donating to this important cause.
