Ireland Launches Major New EFL Strategy
East Coast School of Languages (ECSL), a QE school in Halifax, Nova Scotia, has won the Consumer Choice Award 2010 for "Best Language School in Halifax." The school earned top ranking, based on independent research carried out by Leger Marketing among businesses and consumers in Halifax. "We were thrilled when we found out we had won," says Sheila Nunn, co-owner and Director of Business Development and International Marketing at ECSL. "The award was a wonderful surprise. It's shared by everyone who makes ECSL such a terrific school: staff, students, host families, agents, and our university, college, and residence partners. They have all contributed to our success and recognition by our local community." ECSL, established in 1998, offers English language training to adult students from around the world. Many students who successfully complete ECSL's university pathway program go on to study at Nova Scotia universities and colleges, and some also become permanent residents. www.ecslcanada.com The three owners of ECSL and their managers celebrated the award at a gala dinner in Halifax on December 1, 2010. Our new QE school in the spotlight this month is Quest Language Studies .Quest Language Studies
Contact: Marc Taslimi, Executive Director mt@studyquest.net
Why do you think your school is a Quality school?
There are numerous reasons why I think Quest is a quality school ranging from our strong curriculum and top-notch services to the individualized attention provided to students and agents. But it really all comes down to two factors - the combination of quality staff backed by strong systems. Quality people are of course the core of any business, particularly highly service oriented businesses such as a language school. But people cannot be perfect and so they need strong specialized systems (registration, academic, accommodation, activity, communication, ...) to enable them to effectively meet the needs of our students and agents and exceed their expectations. What made you join QE?
QE helps to nurture and promote what is best in our industry - independently operated, small to medium sized language schools. Schools where both students and agents are appreciated as individuals, where they can stand out from the crowd and not be drowned out by it. QE is not only a badge of quality, it is a vehicle for promoting Quality. Why would you recommend QE from what you know so far?
We've only been in QE a short time now but I've been more than pleased with the organization. QE as an organization strives to embody what their membership is all about - personal attention, highly responsive and dedicated to enhancing and creating opportunities for members. What are the main reasons to recommend Toronto to a foreign student wishing to learn English?
Almost everybody wishing to learn English is ultimately looking to better interact, integrate and benefit from the world around them. And what better place to do this than the world's most ethnically diverse city. Toronto is the world in microcosm. It has no one culture, its culture is truly and uniquely multi-culture, a place where people from around the planet have come to live, interact and grow together. Together through English, together in Toronto. |
