On October 1st Child Advocacy became the fiduciary for the Gratiot County Substance Abuse Coalition (GCSAC).  We welcome GCSAC into our organization and look forward to working with the staff and Coalition members.
 
The Gratiot County Substance Abuse Coalition will continue their work in substance abuse prevention and awareness, and will continue to provide prevention programs in Gratiot County.

ALMA COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL DIGS KIDS!  Friday, October 22nd!
 
The Alma College Volleyball team is hosting a Fundraiser for Child Advocacy's Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN)Prevention programs. Friday, October 22nd at 6:30pm!
  The Alma College Volleyball team will host Hope College at the Art Smith Arena on Alma College Campus.  All proceeds from the event will go towards Child Advocacy's CAN programs in Gratiot County.  Come out and support the Lady Scots for a great cause!

At Child Advocacy we know that being a parent is the hardest job you will ever have.  You may not realize you have the ability to be a superhero!  This upbeat and humorous presentation will help you recognize and develop your advocacy skills.  As parents, learn to advocate for yourself and your kids!  This is a "come as you are" advocacy presentation and all parents are welcome.  Learn to take action when opportunities present themselves!

Life Skills is an exciting hands-on training developed to prepare our youth for living independently.
 
Who May Participate?
 
Adolescents 14 to 18 years of age living in Gratiot County.
 
Where?
 
Classes are held at the Youth For Christ Student Center located on Cheesman Rd. in Alma.
 
When?
