MEDC Business Climate committee continues to draw a crowd:
The (MEDC's) Business Climate Enhancement committee Chairman, Brian Dolan encourages the business community to get involved and show your support by attending the BCEC (Business Climate Enhancement Committee meetings).
What is a BCEC Meeting?
BCEC Meetings are currently held at the MEDC Office, 200 Webster @ 8:30 am on the 2nd Thursday of each month. These are informal business round table breakfast meetings, in which the MEDC join forces with the Village staff and elected officials to work with the business community on making things happen in Montgomery. At our June meeting we went over the time line with the Village as well as a discussion on the TIFF Request for proposal or RFP. Next we discussed having a bus tour visiting available properties in the community. Next we talked about the ICSC show both in Vegas and in Chicago, coming up in October. Shopping local was also discussed and working together as a region. Sugar Grove was one of our newest guests this month and if this committee continues to grow we will need to find an alternative location that could accommodate a larger crowd.

Please email or call the MEDC office and let us know what may be of interest to you so we can start planning for next year.
Previous Breakfast Topics included:
Survive & Thrive during tough Economic Times
(A group of financial options & speakers)

Property Tours
The Business Climate Enhancement Committee will be featuring a bus tour of the available commercial properties through out the community. If you are interested in highlighting your property and/or sponsoring a portion of this event, please call the MEDC Office. Be sure to call to schedule your property and reserve your spot to take part in this exciting new venture.
We are looking at October 12, 2012 as a tentative date,
with a start time of 8:30. (same as our regularly scheduled BCEC meetings).
Please call the MEDC office for further details.
This is just another way the Village of Montgomery and the MEDC are being pro-active and working together to make things happen in our community!
Kendall County Job Resource Fair
A HUGE SUCCESS Kendall County and the local EDC offices and Waubonsee community college worked together in the planning of a job fair with career building sessions and community resources. The event was coordinated through the Kendall County Economic Development office and Waubonsee Community College. This was the first event of it's kind for all of the EDC's together with the County and Waubonsee College.
