The Village continues to help the MEDC lure businesses to the Village of Montgomery:
The Business Climate Enhancement committee has worked with Village staff over the last several years to discuss ways to entice development in the community.
Now that we have succeeded in the expansion of the Orchard Road corridor, A variety of options continue to be discussed.
One of these options is a TIF district. Village Manager, Anne Marie Gaura is making a recommendation to the Village Board for a TIF Financial Impact Study along the Orchard Road Corridor. This could help possibly sell the project to the community/Village Board.
Chairman, Brian Dolan provided a great example to the BCEC committee of a successful TIF District in Aurora which is now going to pay off " big time" for the area and all the taxing bodies. Looking back, Brian is excited to see that project do so well.
This is just one of a variety of options that are being researched and discussed to encourage future growth in Montgomery.
On another note, Brian has been working with a client, who recently met with the MEDC and the Village. The client was so impressed he said, " Montgomery sure knows how to treat businesses! "
You bet we do!
