Greetings!

As we begin 2012,  it is exciting to note the year is surely starting with a big bang! The MEDC office has been extremely busy and it does not appear to be slowing down any time soon.

The Village continues to be a great business partner working with the MEDC to make numerous changes in the zoning ordinance to create a business friendly environment. One opportunity initiated by the BCEC of the MEDC included some changes in the use of a special use requirement for Industrial Properties .The Village Board also recently addressed temporary sign permits and inflatables. This is just another positive way the Village is working to help the business community.

2012 looks to be a year of exciting changes and new opportunities. The MEDC is proud to continue to serve our business community and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our MEDC members and supporters.

If you have a business concern or a time sensitive issue, feel free to call our Executive Director on her cell phone, at 815-703-1338.
Your business is very important to us!

Seeking Breakfast Topics

The Business Climate Enhancement committee would like your input.  Is there a specific topic that would help you and your business prosper and grow?  Perhaps you have a product or service you would like to share with the business community.

Several times throughout the year, this committee holds a breakfast meeting where a speaker or panel of speakers are brought in to help educate our business leaders. Our goal is to ensure that the topics are informative and beneficial to the business community. It also provides a great networking opportunity.

Please email or call the MEDC office and let us know what topics may be of interest to you so we can start planning our next breakfast event.

Property Tours

The Business Climate Enhancement Committee would like to feature an open house/tour of the vacant properties through out the community. If you are interested in highlighting your property and/or sponsoring an open house, please call the MEDC Office and schedule your property to take part in this exciting new venture.

 Kendall County Job  Resource Fair

Kendall County and the local EDC offices are planning a job fair with career building sessions and community resources. The event is being planned and coordinated through the Kendall County Economic Development office and Waubonsee Community College.   The event is scheduled for Friday, June 1st and will run from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. The event will be held at Waubonsee Community College-Plano Campus. If you or your business is interested in participating in this event, please be sure to call the MEDC office.

                  Office & Board Room
                         Space For Rent
  Downtown Montgomery                          Office                                         Available immediately
The Montgomery Economic Development Office has office space to share. Previously, the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce subleased an office in our 200 Webster Street address. On January 1st, they moved their office into Village Hall.  This could be a great opportunity for a business to relocate and open an office in Downtown Montgomery.  Arrangements can be made to share some of the expenses. This beautifully furnished office includes the use of a fully furnished board room and storage in the lower level. The space available can range from 100 square feet up to 1355 square feet. Feel free to call the MEDC office or Dr. Neil Schlupp @ 630-896-1919. Competitive & flexible rates and terms may apply.
