STC Center Hosts AIR Mixer to Connect Mainstream and Asian Real Estate Professionals

STC Center 舉辦聚會助主流商業地產組織AIR聯結亞裔社區

AIR LOGO Veteran Southland Asian commercial real estate professionals agree that as the influence of the community soars in that sector, there's a "crying need" for reliable property data.

In response to that need, the Los Angeles-based AIR Commercial Real Estate Association is reaching out to "bridge the gap" between the mainstream real estate and Asian realty sectors. AIR is a 50-year-old non-profit group representing some 95 percent of the commercial brokers in the five-county Metro L.A. region.

Facilitating the gap bridging was AIR's recent networking and information session in City of Industry that attracted over 70 members of the Asian real estate community, including brokers, bankers, appraisers and mortgage bankers.

25th Annual Party of America Chinese Dance Association at STC Center

美國華裔舞蹈協會第25屆年會在STC Center東區第一會館舉行

The 25th annual party of America Chinese Dance Association (ACDA) was held at STC Center on February 11, 2012. Anne Ma, the Artistic Director of STC Family Member Dance Impressions Productions (DIP), was awarded for her outstanding contribution to promoting Chinese dance and culture in the United States.

美國華裔舞蹈協會第25屆年會於2月11日晚在 STC Center 舉行。STC 大家庭成員舞印製作的藝術總監馬淑芬老師因其在推廣中國舞蹈和文化上的卓越貢獻受到表彰。

STC Team at U.S. Representative Ed Royce's Fundraiser
STC團隊出席國會議員羅伊斯競選籌款晚宴

STC team members attended U.S. Representative Ed Royce's Fundraiser in Rowland Heights on February 11, 2012. US Representative Ed Royce was first elected to Congress in November 1992 and is serving his 10th term in Congress, representing Southern California's 40th District. He is now running to represent the newly redrawn 39th District, which includes Chino Hills, Diamond Bar, Fullerton, Hacienda Heights, La Habra, La Habra Heights, Rowland Heights, and Walnut.

Mary Su, the councilwoman of Walnut, and Philip Chen, School Board Member at Walnut Valley Unified School District, hosted the Fundraiser. Senator Bob Huff, Dr. David Hall, Senior Vice President of Hitchcock Automotive Resources, and many other politicians and business persons were also in attendance.

國會議員羅伊斯的競選籌款晚宴於2月11日在羅蘭崗舉辦，STC團隊代表到現場支持。自1992年11月首次當選以來，羅伊斯已代表南加州40號選區連續十次成功連任。而今他將代表新劃分的39號選區參選。39號選區包括奇諾崗、鑽石吧、富樂頓、哈崗、羅蘭崗、核桃市等華人聚集的地區。

當晚的晚宴由核桃市議會成員蘇王秀蘭和核桃谷聯合學區教委陳立德聯袂主持，參議員Bob Huff、Hitchcock Automotive Resources高級副總裁Dr. David Hall等多位政商要人上台為羅伊斯背書支持。

Lin-sanity! 林書豪驚爆紐約重寫黃種人傳奇

「哈佛小子」林書豪四戰成名，即將挑戰五連勝。正當全美媒體為之沸騰、紛喊「林書豪瘋」（Linsanity）之際，殊不知林書豪首立戰功的2月4日前，尼克隊一直都有將林書豪和七呎新人中鋒喬丹一併解雇，以節省團隊開銷的計畫。想不到這七天四戰，讓尼克隊與林書豪由黑翻紅、讓全紐約high翻。「黃色閃電」林書豪奮力打出了自己的困境，已經成為許多人跌破眼鏡、悔不當初的最佳寫照。

林書豪在哈佛升上大四時，對康州大學一戰勇奪30分的表現聲勢就已經水漲船高，然而在NBA選秀兩輪都落選後再度重挫。當小牛隊給了夏季聯盟／發展聯盟的試訓機會時，林書豪立刻奔赴。後來因為在小牛訓練表現良好，他才以非保障約加盟家鄉舊金山灣區的金州勇士隊。對於小牛教頭的賞識，林書豪至今仍感激地念念不忘。

原以為是「衣錦榮歸」地返鄉爭戰，沒想到簽了只是遞茶水溫板凳⋯⋯
