Congratulations!! Rowland High School made the Newsweek Top 500 "America's Best High Schools" List Third Year in a Row! 恭喜!羅蘭高中連續三年獲選的新聞周刊"美國最佳高中"的前500強
June 19, 2011 These are challenging times for secondary education. Cash-strapped school districts are cutting back; No Child Left Behind mandates test results; parents and students stress unabated. NEWSWEEK, which has been ranking the top public high schools in America for more than a decade, revamped its methodology this year in hopes of highlighting solutions. We enlisted a panel of experts-Wendy Kopp of Teach For America, Tom Vander Ark of Open Education Solutions (formerly executive director for education at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), and Linda Darling-Hammond, Stanford professor of education and founder of the School Redesign Network-to develop a yardstick that fully reflects a school's success turning out college-ready (and life-ready) students. To this end, each school's score is comprised of six components: graduation rate (25%), college matriculation rate (25%), AP tests taken per graduate (25%), average SAT/ACT scores (10%), average AP/IB/AICE scores (10%), and AP courses offered (5%). (For more information on how these rankings were tabulated, see our Full Methodology.) http://www.newsweek.com/feature/2011/americas-best-high-schools.html Rowland High School is a National Blue Ribbon School, a World International Baccalaureate School and proud to be part of the Rowland Unified School District. Rowland High School is located at 2000 S. Otterbein Avenue in Rowland Heights. For more information on Rowland High School, visit www.rowlandhs.org or call (626) 965-3448

Recently, our Officer John Hsu asked us to rate the most important things in our lives. Most of our associates chose "Health", "Love" and "Wisdom", not necessary in that order. And the following article, written by our associates, explained their reasons why......
"Health", "Love" and "Wisdom" | 健康, 愛與智慧
By: Beatrice Hsieh, Accounting Division The three most important elements of our lives are love, wisdom and health. Through out our live times we will need "Love" from and to the others to support ourselves and to support the other with our countless love to bring out a better living society. We also need our "Wisdom" to help us and the others to solve all possible problems that we may face in our lives. Last but not least, "Health" the most important elements that we all shall have, without a good health we won't have the energy to love and support the others as also won't get a better chance to use our wisdom to achieve our live goals. Therefore, having love wisdom and a good health would help us to achieve a better life journy!
