Curtain Call Presents
"The Golden Age of Radio Ain't Golden Anymore"
Curtain Call, the drama club at VFCC, will be presenting "The Golden Age of Radio Ain't Golden Anymore" on the weekends of October 21-24 and 29-31.  Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:00 p.m. while Sunday's performances begin at 4:00 p.m.  All performances take place in the Krempels Theater on the campus of VFCC.

The play, written by Paul Kabakjian is set in late 1948 shortly after the end of WWII. In a quickly changing America, family radio shows are being replaced by the birth of a new Golden Age, television. A small radio station in Valley Forge, WVFZ prides itself on being the best in B radio. Can it handle, ''out with the old and in with the new?'

Shell, G. Richard, Mario Moussa.  The Art of Woo.  Penguin Group: New York, 2007.

Who can forget falling in love?  The glorious rapture of coming to know someone, being drawn to spend all you are with them.  In leadership, communicating and selling ideas and products is much like falling in love.  There has to be a personal connection - this is where "The Art of Woo" comes to great aid.  Woo is defined as "Winning Others Over" which is very easy to say but takes capturing an art to do well.  Richard G. Shell and Mario Moussa give an excellent tool for helping leaders make a difference in their fields by developing this art.  They recognize that people already have a style of "woo" and so they work to improve that in the most productive and effective way possible. This book is intensely practical, giving tangibility to this secret.  Whether in the business or church world, this book is an absolute "must" to add to your library.
