Greetings!
This year more than ever we have a need for sponsors for our biggest fundraising event, the Golf FORE Blue Dog Tournament. We currently have 30 dogs in the shelter which is 12-15 more than our usual number of occupants. Unfortunately, we are not nearly reaching our sponsorship goals that we have in the past. Actually, we are at an all time low with less than a week to go for both golfers and Tee/Super Blue Dog Sponsors.
We continue to meet a need in our community where we care for adoptable dogs and we love being able to do so. But today, we need YOUR help. Prizes, golfers and sponsors... whatever way you can participate, PLEASE help!

Here's how you can participate:
- TEE/GREEN SPONSOR ~ For just $100 you can support the Shelter by placing an ad for your business (or featuring your pet) on a lawn sign placed on the tees/greens. Your ad is also featured in the Tournament Program!
- SUPER BLUE DOG SPONSOR ~ $250 sponsorship at both the Golf Tournament and the Motorcycle Ride. In addition to the tees/greens, your ad (or pet) will be featured on a lawn sign for the Motorcycle Ride, as well as on a t-shirt.
- BE A GOLFER ~ For all you golfers out there, there is still time to register! Registration is $125 which includes golf cart, dinner, and a thank you bag.
There will be raffles, good food, good fun, and it's "FORE" a great cause!

Pet Tech CPR Classes
Become CPR Pet Certified! This two day course will be held at CWB (Contractors Inc.) 80 Manley Street, West Bridgewater MA. Certification program is $109 and covers all materials. Kids ages 12+ are welcome too! You must attend both days to become certified. Save the dates:
September 18, from 5-9pm and
September 22, from 8:30am-12:30pm.

Kid's Day & Bob DiMatteo Memorial 5K Run
 Kid's Day is a day of fun for the entire family! On September 23 from 9AM-2PM, kids get up close to a Stoughton Fire Truck and enjoy FREE giveaways! There will be a giant raffle at 1:30, food, refreshments, prizes & more! Proceeds benefit Stoughton Fire Safety, Stoughton Police Explorers &
Stoughton Youth Commission.
At 9AM kids do a FREE 1 mile fun run, and at 10AM the 5k run & 3 mile walk begins. This is an official USFTA certified course. The entry fee for runners is $25, walkers $20, and for walking families $25. 5k Runners get a free dri-fit t-shirt. All proceeds go to two SHS Scholarships & a local family effected by cancer.

RIDE FOR BLUE MOTORCYCLE RIDE
Saturday, September 29, join us for our annual motorcycle ride through the back roads of Easton and West Bridgewater!
Enjoy a one hour ride lead by the Brockton Blue Knights and Police escort. The ride will end back at the Resort where we'll have a cookout with great food and music! The ride costs $20 for the driver and $10 for a passenger and includes a t-shirt while supplies last. Registration starts at 9:00am at J.M. Pet Resort.

Dogs & Storks Program
Are you soon-to-be parents or have another one the way? If you're an expecting family with dogs, the Dogs & Storks program is a seminar geared toward the proper way of introducing your dog to your baby. This program offers solutions to challenges that may arise. The seminar is $35 per couple, held on October 14 at the CWB, 80 Manly Street, West Bidgewater. The class begins at 11AM. Call us at J.M. Tom Cotter ~ The Comedy Ninja!

Jeni and her family are very excited as her hilarious brother-in-law, Tom Cotter, moves forward to the finals on America's Got Talent!
You better believe the family will be in the audience so keep an eye out for their big applause & screams cheering Tom on!
Vote on September 12 for Tom to win the final round at 8pm on NBC! Use every device you have and vote up to ten times each. Don't forget to tell all your friends! The Husky Mother and her Puppies
August 14th a pregnant Husky was found by a good Samaritan and brought to Brockton Animal Control. Later that day she gave birth to her five puppies. At the time, Jeni was working with Animal Control and heard about the Husky. Jeni told Animal Control the Blue Dog Shelter would take care of the Husky mother. Now today the Blue Dog Shelter was able to place the Husky mother and her puppies in a great foster home. "I'm happy to help the community, and so is everyone in the J.M. family and Blue Dog Shelter." said Jeni, "But we need the community's help too. Every donation counts."

The Latest on Blue and Sadie's Progress
As Sadie and Blue continue their journey at the Blue Dog Shelter, they have demonstrated positive strides to a better life. While there have been improvements, there is still more progress to be made. We expect that they will require at least 8 months of care and rehabilitation at the Blue Dog Shelter.
