6 Tips for Increased Productivity Using VoicePad |
VoicePad's Customer Care Team is your source for assistance and advice when it comes to using the VoicePad system. For this edition of "At the Curb," we asked the Customer Care Team to submit hints and tips to enhance your productivity using VoicePad. These bits of wisdom are from a full-time staff of VoicePad experts who know the system inside and out. We will feature their input in future editions, as well!
 Download Lead Data Once a Month to Retain a Permanent Lead Record. VoicePad maintains 180 days of lead history and data (e.g., Caller Name, Caller ID, Date of Call, Listing Address) online. If you desire to retain a permanent record of your leads, you must download this data to an Excel spreadsheet from the "Lead Manager" section of the Dashboard. For instructions how to download VoicePad lead data, click here. We suggest you download your lead history once a month. HINT: Set a reminder on your calendar once a month to download this data.
Configure Email Notification to Receive an Email After Each Inquiry. Each time you receive a property inquiry, VoicePad can send you a notification email detailing the property, caller ID, call time, etc. If you do not receive notification emails, your email address or email notification preference may not be properly configured. For instructions how to check your email notification settings or configure them for the first time, click here. HINT: Also, check your email SPAM filter to ensure VoicePad is an approved sender.
DO NOT hit "REPLY" to Respond to Text Message or Email Inquiry Notifications. If you "REPLY" to these lead notifications, your message does not go to the person who inquired. Instead, it is sent to VoicePad! To respond to a text notification, call the potential home buyer back. Or, you may be able to send a text message by clicking on the phone number in the notification text message.
Retrieve Your Login & Password Online
1. Go to www.voicepad.com2. Click "Login" at the top right of the web page (just below "Already a Customer?") 3. Click the link after "Forgot your Password?," which says, "Agents click here." 4. Enter your email address in the box provided (if you do not know the email address on file with VoicePad, attempt your known email address(es), or consult your Office Administrator.) 5. Click the "SEND PASS." button 6. Check your email inbox 7. If you have trouble retrieving your log in and password, contact VoicePad Customer Care online (see instructions at right).
Educate Yourself (and your buyers!) How to Search for Properties from a Phone with a QWERTY Keypad

VoicePad recognizes that approximately 24% of mobile phones now have alphabetic (or "QWERTY") keypads, as opposed to touchtone keypads. Touchtone keypads typically have three letters associated with each number, whereas QWERTY keypads have one letter associated with one number. This distinction can make it tricky for some callers to search for a property when letters of the street name are required.
Provide Buyers with an Image of a Standard Keyboard to Assist in Searching for Properties | To assist in the search process, "Eve" instructs callers how to search for properties using a QWERTY keypad (the instructions are presented immediately after "Eve" asks for the letters of the street name and callers can press * for more detailed instructions). Familiarize yourself with these instructions and educate your buyers, so they are able to search for properties with ease, regardless of their phone keypad type. You may consider including the touchtone key pad image on the back of business cards and other printed materials to distribute to Registered Buyers.
 PUT YARD SIGNS on ALL Listed Properties! Yard signs are the best marketing tool to generate home buyer leads. And adding a VoicePad yard sign or rider can double home buyer inquires, in addition to providing a way to contact the caller!
