As the crushing weight of the holiday season slowly descends upon us, rendering each of us trembling and helpless, take a moment away from your frantic search for last minute gifts to remember that you've got friends here at Brouwerij Lane.  More importantly, friends with beer. "Holiday" themed beer.  All weekend long we'll have Christmaholidayrific draft beers pouring from our taps, as well as offering  bottles of delicious Belgian Christmas Ale from our case.  Aaaand, if you still can't find that perfect present for your aunt, just remember that everyone loves the gift of craft beer.  We have gift certificates available in any amount for all your friends and loved ones.

But first! Our second annual Brouwerij Lane Christmas Party! Free food, free libations. Just bring us cookies! We must appease Krampus.

New In Christmas Bottles And Otherwise

St. Bernardus Christmas Ale / Watou, Be / 750ml corked and caged
One of the most popular and well known Belgian Christmas ales. Plus it's brewed
in an abbey.

D'Achouffe
N'ice Chouffe / Ardennes, Be  /750ml corked and caged
Another great Christmas ale, this time a Belgian strong dark ale brewed with thyme
and curacao orange peel.

Gouden Carolus Noel /Mechelen, Be / 11.2 oz bottle
By far my favorite Christmas ale. Rich spice flavors of cinnamon, cherries, chocolate
and dark fruit.  It just tastes like Christmas!

Serafijn Christmas Angel / Itegem, Be / 11.2 oz bottle
One of the lighter and brighter Christmas ales.  A strong pale ale with citrusy orange
and tangerine notes, candy sugar and a slight tart finish.

White Birch Barrel Aged Tripel / Hookset, Nh / 750 ml corked and caged
This nano brewery from New Hampshire has suddenly hit the New York market this week.
This beer is extremely limited with only 220 bottles made.  We were only able to obtain one case so grab while you can.

Brasserie Au Vapeur De Bises / Pipaix, Be / 750 ml corked and capped
A beautiful bottle of Belgian amber ale brewed with fig leaves and fig flowers
to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Brasserie Au Vapeur.  Malty, woodsy, slightly
earthy with a rich complexity, tart finish, and adorned with a kiss.

Christmas Cask!
Thornbridge Merrie

A Christmas ale from one of our favorite new English breweries.  Thornbridge has been creating exceptional ales since their inception in 2004, and this Christmas ale is a great example.  Lightly spiced with bayleaf, organic cola, and locally grown lavender.  It has a big, rich mouthfeel a slight smokiness, and a warming finish. Tapping tomorrow!

                                                        On Tap This Weekend

    Southern Tier Krampus

Heee's Baaack.  The demonic St. Nick sidekick that terrorized our Christmas party last year.  And by terrorized, I mean induced excessive inebriation.   A dangerously light bodied 10% abv Christmas
nightmare.

Avery Old Jubilation

English strong ales often set the perfect stage for Christmas beers.  Whether spiced or not, (in this case unspiced) the round, biscuity, bready, caramelly, toffeeish English malt backbone just makes you say "Hmmm, just wait one darn second, I think this beer kinda reminds me of Christmas" and "Why am I talking to myself?"

Ommegang Adoration

One of the newer, and rarer Belgo-American Holiday ales.  Brewed with coriander, cardamom, mace, grains of paradise and sweet orange peel.  Layers of flavor, cherries, plums, raisins, fruitcake, orange, and a healthy dose of spice.

Founder's Double Trouble

Fresh From the Founders brewery, a double IPA of immense proportions.  With big, hoppy IPA's it seems that the fresher the beer the better.  Hop aromatics are at their peak when poured from a fresh keg, and this one is as fresh as it gets.  Kegged in Grand Rapids Michigan 7 days ago, and pouring this weekend.

Left hand Fade To Black
(Volume 2)

Last year Left hand launched their fade to black series with a strong, roasty export stout.  This year they've decided the take the black beer theme to a different style and brew a smoked Baltic Porter.  Expect some coffee, some dark chocolate, and hints of roasted pork.
