Preparing Questions for

Your Job Interview

Job seekers often wonder what types of questions they should prepare for an interview. The interviewer also knows that the candidate could not possibly have learned everything there is to know about the position or the company prior to the interview. It is a common mistake to forget to prepare a list of questions and it could send the wrong message to the interviewer. An interviewer wants:

  • You to do research about the company and the position.
  • You to come to the interview prepared with a list of thoughtful questions.

While researching the position and company think about what else you would like to know and write down some questions.

  • Ask yourself "What am I looking for in a job?" Then list questions which might help you determine if the job is a good fit?
  • For example, if it is important for you to have opportunities for advancement, you would want to find out if this is a realistic possibility with the company.

Preparing for an interview can mean the difference between an offer of employment and a rejection. JVS is here for you to help ensure you have the tools you need to get the job you want. Contact JVS to register for upcoming seminars and networking groups.
