PERSEVERANCE

The most successful salesperson in the world tells a story:

"We are all in sales.  We are all selling ourselves.  Your success depends entirely on how you manage yourself with your daily activity. Sit down and make a plan that you can use every day.  Decide on how many people you will talk to and how many calls you will make. Stay with this plan.  A clearly defined activity should be your goal. The key is perseverance.

"I start each day with a very specific goal.  It isn't to sell as much as I can.   It isn't to spend as much time as possible talking to customers.  My goal is to MAKE 50 CALLS PER DAY!

"As a result of this activity, I have more success than anyone else in my field. There are many times when the customers do not talk to me or return my phone calls.  But I maintain a constant type of behavior.  I MAKE 50 CALLS PER DAY.

"I don't stop calling when I have a success or two.  I don't stop calling when one person after another refuses to speak to me.  I continue my daily activity of making 50 CALLS PER DAY."

Stick to your plan of daily activity.  The key is perseverance.
