It's Never Too Soon To Think Conference 2013...
The way time flies, our 2013 conference will be here before you know it. Make sure to save the dates -- July 30 through Aug. 2, 2013. Once again, we'll gather at the Washington Court Hotel here in Washington, DC. We're thrilled to have another powerhouse trio of co-chairs planning the conference: Alan Hatton-Yeo of the Beth Johnson Foundation in the UK, Matt Kaplan of Penn State University, and Mae Mendelson of Chaminade University in Hawaii. If you are interested in helping with conference planning or have suggestions for conference content, we're all ears! Contact Leah Bradley at lbradley@gu.org. |

Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.For MLK Day 2010, the Washington Post carried an opinion piece by Generations United's Donna Butts about the important role King's grandmother played in his life. It was especially fitting that year: the president-elect and his family were about to move into the White House, along with Sasha and Malia's maternal grandmother. We repeated the piece in Donna's Blog on our website at the time and think itstill resonates two years later. Read it now. |
