Cancellations We
follow Carmel Schools with delays and closings. If there is a 2-hour delay, no
classes will be held before 10:00am for participants 0-18 years of age. If the schools are closed, classes will be cancelled for the day for participants 0-18 years of age.
All adult and fitness classes will run unless we have a snow emergency.

 Website Focus Group Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation is conducting focus
groups for the upcoming release of a new-and-improved website. If interested,
we ask that you please fill out the demographic information. Individuals
will be selected based on the information they provide to ensure a wide array
of feedback. Individuals selected will then be contacted regarding the date,

Aquatics
Extended pool hours this season The pool is now staying open until 8:00pm on Friday and Saturday evenings and until 7:00pm on Sunday. We will also have an extra hour of lap swimming on Tuesday/Thursday evenings from 8:00-9:00pm.
American Red Cross Lifeguarding Class American Red Cross Lifeguarding helps you develop valuable skills.
Completion of this course will earn you certifications in CPR/AED/First
Aid and Lifeguarding, and the fee includes necessary manuals and
supplies. Upon successful completion of this course, you may apply for
employment at The Monon Center. However, completion of this course does
not guarantee you a position. Must be able to attend all four dates for
the duration of the time listed.
Prerequisites: · Must be 15 years of age by last date of class
· Must be able to swim 300 yards continuously (using 100 yards of front
crawl, 100 yards of breaststroke and 100 yards of either front crawl or
breaststroke) · Must swim 20 yards of front crawl or breaststroke,
retrieve a 10-pound object from a depth of 7-10 feet, return it to the
surface and swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object,
within a given time. · Age: 15+ years

Little Seeds Preschool
Little Seeds Preschool is dedicated to offering a well-rounded experience in the areas of education, physical activity and social interaction. We strive to assist in the overall growth of each child that takes part in our program. To do this, we offer a wide variety of activities including swim lessons, gym activities, outdoor exploration, art creation and many other exceptional opportunities. These opportunities help children to playfully explore and better understand their surroundings while developing character, independence, individual talents and broad interests. Brass Around The World
Carmel Brass' next concert will be held Sunday, February 21, at 2:30p.m. in the
East Building of the Monon Community Center. Throughout the program works from a wide
variety of countries will be played. Admission prices are: $10 for
adults, $5 for seniors 65+ and students under 18, and $20 for a family
pass to include all members of an immediate family. |
