Puppy Chuckles

...so true

  • You have your dog talk to your friends on the phone.
  • You often sleep in a pretzel shape so you don't disturb your dog.
  • Your vet and grooming bills exceed your rent.
  • You sit on the floor if the dog got in the chair first.
  • You talk to your dog when you are driving. He answers.

Paragon Pet of the Month

Introducing Buddy D'Amico, one of our newest clients.  Buddy is a sweet Shih Tzu who went through an incredible transformation this month!  Easy going and patient, he quickly stole our hearts.  We can't wait to see him again!
HEALTHY COAT, HEALTHY DOG

While you already know that regular trips to Paragon for bathing and brushingGolden can help the condition of your pet's coat, there are other things you can do at home that will also do wonders for your pet.

Avoid Corn

Allergies can often be the cause of a dull coat.  Try replacing your dog's food and treats with products that are made with more protein, fruit, and vegetables.

Olive Oil

It's good for Fido, too!  A teaspoon of olive oil added to one of your dog's daily meals will help to make his coat glossy and will also help strengthen his nails.

Don't Forget to Brush!

Spend a little time each day brushing your pet.  He'll love it and it will make a real difference in how his coat looks and feels.

Another Day at the Spa

Recent graduate Kailey

shows off her grooming skills and helps her furry friend look and feel his best!

Whether your pet is matted, blowing out a shedding coat, or just needs a little touch-up, we can help.

Wouldn't your dog or cat love a new look this Spring?

Walking Weather is Finally Here!

Spring fever is alive and well in our neighborhoods!  As we get back out into the world after a long winter, we resume one of our favorite activities - the long outdoor walk.  Here are some tips to help make your walks more fun and enjoyable for both you and your pet.

Start Slow

After a few months inside, we may need a little "warm up" before we get back into our walking routine.  Take a few shorter walk at first, just to make sure your pet is healthy enough for renewed activity.

A Manicure Wouldn't Hurt

Keep your dog's nails trimmed so that they don't "click" when she walks.  When nails get too long, they are difficult and uncomfortable to walk on - and may even contribute to joint and back pain.  Visit us between grooming appointments for a walk-in nail trimming service.  We can even file her nails to keep them smoother and shorter.

Safety First!

It's heartbreaking when we get those calls from frightened owners who have a pet that has gotten loose.  The pets are most often found right away and return home tired and unharmed, but until they are safely home, it's agony wondering if they're hurt or worse.  Keeping your pet on a good leash with a properly fitted collar is the simplest thing you can do to help prevent a lost pet.
