Hello friends!

It's February and we're well on our way to Spring! Shake off those winter blahs - treat yourself to a fresh bouquet of flowers to brighten up your home.  We're looking past the snow, and despite the fact that Groundhog Day didn't work in our favor, we're gearing up for warmer weather.  If it's been a while since your last visit, give us a call.  We'd love to hear how you're doing and take care of any grooming issues your furry friend may need.

Human Training
Do your cats have you properly trained?  Let's find out...
  • Does your cat always keep you company in the bathroom?
  • Do you get up to open doors for your cat?
  • Do you regularly play the "pick up" game? Picking up pens and pencils that are knocked to the floor while you are using them?
  • Have you learned to type at your computer with a cat sleeping on your keyboard?
  • Did you buy a larger mattress so your cat has more room while you both sleep?
Dog Training
Dogs are our friends and family, they protect us, and keep us company. We often talk about dog "etiquette" and how it can work miracles with people who may not share our enthusiasm for our furry friends.  While it's important to train our pets, we must also recognize that people also require some redirection in order for the pet/human unit to be harmonious.  Here are a few tips for the "people training" portion of your day:
  1. Always maintain control of your pet. A dog on the loose can be frightening to children, the elderly, and other dogs.
  2. Avoid potential injury to your child and pet: if your small child is walking your dog on a leash, make sure s/he can handle it if the dog decides to bolt.
  3. Dogs are easily distracted but will respond well to rewards. Shouting at or hitting your dog only intimidates your dog.
  4. Dogs need company.  A lonesome dog can let you know in many ways that they miss you - some less pleasant than others.
The staff and students at Paragon are so grateful for our customers.  Without you, the students would not be able to practice the craft and art of pet grooming.  Thank you for helping to make their career dreams a reality!

Sincerely,
