Important Prayer Need
| Barger Family|
As many of you know, for the past 7+ years Melanie has been a key care-giver for her Mother and Father.
In 2004, Melanie's Mom, Berneice, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
Her Dad, Dale, has also had a number of problems including cancer, several small stokes, and dementia.
Now, Mom has contacted pneumonia again and has taken a turn for the worst in the past few days. Without a sovereign, restorative miracle we believe she'll be going home to be with the Lord very soon. Our biggest concern is for Dale, as his issues with reality have made it difficult for him to grasp things as he once would have.
We know that many of you completely relate and understand, having faced these troubled waters with loved ones or friends in the past. Obviously, right now we greatly appreciate your prayers.
Mom, Dad, and all of us, are in the Father's hands and the great comfort is that we are not like so many around us in this world who have no hope (I Thess 4:13). Jesus offers peace in all of the storms that life brings to us and we are resolute to walk by faith during this one. I am ever aware that nothing is final until God proclaims it so - regardless of how hopeless it may appear. One great solace is knowing how many wonderful friends will be praying for us up here in Western Washington once they read this note.
Thank you so much for remembering this request before the Lord and for standing with us. We are trusting the the Father for each step - literally each breath - and only want Him to be glorified as we help bring comfort and hope to our family during this season.
We love you!
