PASTOR'S CORNER
Last night the RUACH of God flowed through the voices of the Shallowford Youth Choir and blessed the entire sanctuary. Our hospitality team was at its best, preparing a bountiful table for the youth before the concert, welcoming our guests, and cleaning up afterwards. There are many reasons why this was an important evening for Shallowford Presbyterian, the youth of Indian Creek and us:
- We were able to thank Shallowford for partnering with us in Soul Journers Studio and Bountiful Bags by welcoming their choir so graciously.
- We were able to demonstrate Christ's radical welcome to all.
- We were able to offer a vision to our congregation of what a youth choir or community choir might look like and to begin imagining how we might make it happen.
- We made it possible for the children of Shallowford and Indian Creek Elementary to get together and share their inspirational stories with each other.
There are many reasons, but the really important reason is far simpler and needs no explanation. The REASON why this evening was so special is because God was being glorified in our sanctuary and we were invited into God's presence through song. I can think of nothing more important than being in God's presence. So for this and every blessing, praise be to God!
