PASTOR'S NOTE
Maurice Sendak, author of Where the Wild Things Are, passed away this week. An article from the NY Times reads in part:
"the wild things are deliciously grotesque: huge, snaggletoothed, exquisitely hirsute and glowering maniacally. He always maintained he was drawing his relatives - who, in his memory at least, had hovered like a pack of middle-aged gargoyles above the childhood sickbed to which he was often confined."
When I read this the first thing that came into my mind was, "I hope that the congregation doesn't have the same experience during my pastoral care visits!" The important reminder in all of this is just how important GRACE is for all of us; and for the gift of this reminder, I am truly thankful.
Peace of Christ Always,
George
