Revised Common Lectionary Readings for Sunday, January 22, 2012, the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year B)
Paul's letter to the Ephesians ends with these final words for the church, "Tychicus will tell you everything. He is a dear brother and a faithful mnister in the Lord. I am sending him to you for this very purpose, to let you know how we are, and to encourage your hearts. Peace be to the whole community and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all who have an undying love for our Lord Jesus Christ." Like Tychicus, the Rev. Dr. Matt Fry is a dear brother and faithful minister in the Lord. We are exchanging pulpits this Sunday so that we might share, challenge, and encourage both Memorial Drive and Norcross Presbyterian with inspiration from our sister congregations. In our sharing we will learn about each other, and if we aren't careful, we will learn a lot about ourselves. I entrust Rev. Fry to your loving care, listen with open hearts and minds to his teaching. Thank you for the opportunity to share the good things that are happening here with Norcross Presbyterian. May God bless us richly in this pulpit exchange! Peace of Christ Always, George |
