Revised Common Lectionary Readings for Sund ay, November 20, 2011, Christ the King (Reign of Christ) Sunday (Year A)
This Thursday at 3 pm we will be gathering at Shallowford Presbyterian Church to discuss Bountiful Bags, our ministry to the children at Indian Creek Elementary. With the recent good news that we received a $5,000 grant to get this off the ground, everybody is excited and ready to get planning for the January start date. If you are interested in joining us please contact me at 404.784.0382 and I can give you a ride to join us. Thanks to everyone for making our Dedication Sunday such a success. The recognition we received from the New Church Development Commission for hosting Shalom, a new church development in the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta, is a sign that we are helping to spread God's word and touch lives in the community. Please thank Marva Bryan and Shirleye King when you see them! They spent hours in the kitchen bringing a banquet to the tables and transforming the Jim Guess Building into a banquet hall worthy of kings and queens! Peace of Christ Always, George
