Revised Common Lectionary Readings for Sunda y, November 13, 2011, the Thirty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year A)
Last Sunday we remembered the saints of the church and the strong foundation that they set for us. I recommended the Daily Examine that St. Ignatius practiced as a good way to strengthen the foundation of our faith. As you pray:
Remember that you are in the presence of God.
Review each day with gratitude and thank God for your blessings.
Think about your emotional reactions to events of the day.
Pick one of your reactions and pray from it - if it was a negative reaction you may pray for forgiveness or consolation, if it was positive you may pray for strength or guidance. Finally, have a heart to heart with Jesus. Ask for guidance, consolation, direction, or whatever other need came to light as you reflected on your day.
Peace of Christ Always,
George

FINANCIAL RESOURCES
The Session invites all those who would like to contribute to the conversation on how we can be better stewards of our resources in relation to MDPCCP to come to the November Session meeting (Sunday, November 20) immediately following the Community Thanksgiving Worship Service here at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church.
This chart reflects last year's stewardship of our financial resources. The Session and Finance Committee are working together to create a stewardship plan for next year and are crafting a budget that will provide for sustained growth and careful stewardship of our resources.
