Happy New Year!
PBS had a wonderful program on Rudyard Kipling and it got me thinking of his poem "IF".

Read "IF" and think about the ways in which Jesus' life is reflected in this poem.
We all want to be loved, we all want approval, we all want to hear, "This is my Son/Daughter, whom I love; with them I am well pleased." The good news is that we can know God's love by simply accepting God's love in Jesus.

| Barry's Memory Book
There's a new "wrinkle" regarding Barry's memory book.
Barry retired from pastoral care duties of MDPC, but he is remaining on as the interim organist. This means that the memory book will be presented to him when he FULLY retires from MDPC. If you want to submit pictures and/or a note to be included in Barry Davies's memory book, it needs to be received NO LATER THAN SATURDAY, JANUARY 22, 2011!
