Congregational Meeting
 
The Session has called a congregational meeting for Sunday, September 19, immediately following the 10:30 am worship service, for the purpose of hearing and acting upon the report and recommendations of the Pastor Nominating Committee. 
 
All members are urged to attend this important meeting as we vote on the call of a new pastor for MDPC! 
 
 
 
 
Women of the Congregation
 
All women are invited to a Presbyterian Women Circle, even if you're not an MDPC member.

Circle 1: is a fellowship circle, which meets at 6:30 pm, on the fourth Thursday of each month, at different restaurants.
 
Meeting Date:  Thursday, September 23 at 6:30 pm - Grace's Residence
Carol Grace will have a salad dinner for the circle.

Circle 2/3:  This year they are studying the Book of Revelation. 
They meet the second Tuesday of each month, at 10:00 am in the Library.

Church Women United will hold a Human Rights Celebration 2010

This celebration encourages us to be part of creating more accessibility for people with disabilities and treating them with the dignity they deserve.
 
Habitat for Humanity
           
MDPC is partnering with Habitat for Humanity and other Atlanta area religious congregations to construct affordable housing for a needy family.  Construction will begin on 10/10/10 and continue every Sunday until 11/21/10. We need volunteers to assist at every phase of the project. Youths 16 years or older are encouraged to participate.   So if you like to work with your hands or you are a do-it-yourselfer, please contact:

Memorial Drive Lunchbox Program
 
The lunchbox program is growing.  We have provided 426 meals in the first three months of operation.  Bottled water is also available everyday outside the Rock of Ages church door.  Your continuing kind giving of time, talents and funding are genuinely appreciated.  Checks should be made out to MDPC and noted for "lunchbox program".  Call Carol Cromley or Robert Dinwiddie for further information.

 Annual Spaghetti Supper
 
Please join us for the MDPCCP Annual Spaghetti Supper to be held on Friday, September 24 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  It will be an evening of food, fellowship and fun.  Please make your reservations by September 20.  Call Tonie Sanders, 404-296-1783 for more information.
