SUPPORT GROUP

Depression Support Group

Samaritan Counseling Center of Atlanta
Led by Sandra S. Hoffman, Ph. D.

While many people experience brief symptoms of low mood, irritability, fatigue, confusion, forgetfulness, and/or anxiety during their lifetimes, for some these symptoms (and others) persist and develop into depression.  Treatment of this condition is vitally important.

The Samaritan Counseling Center of Atlanta has a Depression Support Group which is currently accepting new members.  The group meets one Wednesday morning per month (the group decides at each meeting when they will meet next) as follows:

8:15AM - 9:45AM
Room B-320

Parking is available behind First Presbyterian Church
Please call Dr. Hoffman at 404-228-7774 for more information and to reserve a space.
There is no cost for the group.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

MDPC is partnering with Habitat for Humanity and other Atlanta area religious congregations to construct affordable housing for a needy family.  Construction will begin on 10/10/10 and continue every Sunday until 11/21/10. We need volunteers to assist at every phase of the project. Youths 16 years or older are encouraged to participate.   So if you like to work with your hands or you are a do-it-yourselfer, please contact June Pleasant on or before September 14, 2010.
