Siegfried Beyond the Central Valley

California MapSiegfried, which is based in Stockton, CA, has been successfully conducting business with Clients in the Central Valley for over 55 years.   Over the past few years though, many projects have taken us throughout California and even into multiple states.

Recent project locations have included Oakland, Palo Alto, Davis, Butte County, Santa Maria, San Diego, Monterey, Merced, and even Illinois and Hawaii.  "Being a medium sized firm with such a far reach allows us to work with more Clients and more project types.  At the same time, Siegfried is able to provide personalized  customer service that many larger firms can't." said Siegfried's Vice President Paul Schneider.

Palo Alto has been a true success story.  Siegfried is currently working on four projects there and has completed more in the past.  "The Bay Area is a great market to be in.  We hope that continually delivering successful projects to our Bay Area Clients will allow us to win more work there." continues Schneider.

Diversification is key.  While growing into new markets, Siegfried has also expanded our disciplines by offering in-house civil engineering, structural engineering, landscape architecture, surveying, and planning.  Having all disciplines under one roof benefits both the process and the project by giving Clients a complete team that understands the challenges of a project as a whole, not individual pieces.

Stockton Emergency Food Bank

Stockton Food BankIn our continued dedication towards improving our local community, Siegfried has recently donated structural engineering, landscape architecture,  and site planning services for the improvements at the Stockton Emergency Food Bank for their Nutrition Education Center.

The project includes the development of an urban garden that will provide the Food Bank with teaching areas for customers as well as a new source for providing fresh fruits and vegetables for donation.  The project also provides a new BBQ area, seating areas, benches, raised garden beds, and pedestrian paths that lead from the garden to the administration offices and food warehouse.

A major component of the project was to utilize the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) method to reduce vandalism and theft from the new garden areas. This method was implemented by using vegetation on walls to minimize graffiti, low bushes around the perimeter to increase visibility of the security cameras, and other various techniques.
