Garner Economics LLC Releases Latest Analysis of Metro Job Growth
Editor's note: The Metro Jobs Report was originally presented on 1/19/2012 as part of our Solutions Speak newsletter. However, several of our readers have asked for a stand-alone version of the report so that a wider distribution of the analysis can be disseminated to local constituents and stakeholders. |
In our latest analysis, Garner Economics' research economist Tom Tveidt reports that two years after the official end of the great recession, most U.S. metros are adding jobs. According to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for November 2011, 239 of 372 metros have total employment greater than at the same time one year earlier. This marks 17 consecutive months with the number of metros adding jobs outnumbering the number losing jobs. See how your Metro did by clicking here. |
