Progress Report: Job Growth in U.S. Metros

More than two years after the official end of the great recession finds most U.S. metros are adding jobs. According to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics for November 2011, 239 of 372 metros have total employment greater than at the same time one year earlier. This marks 17 consecutive months with the number of metros adding jobs outnumbering the number losing jobs. See how your Metro did by clicking here.

Well, almost. Primus/Garner Conducts Food Processing Site Certification for Opelika, AL
Lori Huguley, Director of Economic Development for the City of Opelika, has announced that the City's Industrial Development Authority has selected the joint venture of Primus Builder's and Garner Economics to conduct a shovel ready site an alysis of the Opelika Industrial Park for food and beverage company attraction. The Authority decided to pursue food site certification of the Park since food and beverage companies are a target industry sector for the City. Read more by clicking here. |
